This is the beginning of the end for this sunset. I have put down the darker color for the water base. I may have overdone it and wouldn’t you know the smallest part of the painting is becoming the hardest. I will put down the reflecting colors and blend them at first in a horizontal stroking motion. After those secondary base colors are established I can fix the colors or continue putting more color down. Problem is the pastels won’t cover anymore so I have to spray fix the water area and then I can continue to paint. Once that’s done I can finish the painting.
