The surface I am working on here is Sennelier (Sen-Nell -Yay) Board. This is a gritty surface that WILL NOT ACCEPT LIQUID washes. This is a small painting only 8” wide by 5” high so I can work the whole surface easily. You can see some line work that represents the design of the painting and some of the colors I’m going to use to get this piece started. The object of this painting is to make the Sunrise explode with morning color.
