This frame is a bit duller than the previous frame. But I’ve introduced some color into the Hay Roll along with hints of color adjacent to the far left Hay Roll. At this time you do not want to use heavy pastel strokes. I’m using a lot of (medium hardness) Rembrandt pastels and very little (much softer) Unison pastels at this point because they have the colors I’m looking for and they work together remembering you work from darker colors to lighter and from harder pastels to softer pastels. Note: sometimes you have to do the reverse. Experiment on a test sheet of paper to see what I mean.
