Here additional colors have been added to enhance the sketch. Note the high contrasts used in this frame. More Pastel is added to the sanded surface. Note I haven’t covered the entire surface of the paper nor have I put on an excessive amount of pastel. The more pastel you put down the faster the surface will muddy up. Use light pressure when applying all layers of pastel.
