Pastel Journal (2000)
Gary Wick of Worth, Illinois was awarded a 'Finalist' place in the 'Second Annual Pastel 100' pastel art competition sponsored by The Pastel Journal magazine. His painting, "Saganashkee Slough", (a sunset) won the award in the competition that included just under 2000 entries and will be featured in the March/April issue along with the other 103 award wining paintings. Gary is a lifetime member of the Elmhurst Artists' Guild, as well as a member of the Chicago Artists' Coalition, the Great Lakes Pastel Society, in Michigan, the LaGrange Art League, LaGrange, Illinois and an associate member of the Pastel Society of America.

Teaching and Exhibitions (2000 to Current)
Gary Wick is represented by the Courtyard Art Gallery in New Buffalo Michigan. February 24th he will exhibit his art at the Crete Art Fair, which will be held at the will County Fair Grounds in Peatone, Illinois. Gary has been asked to show his work at the Downers Grove Library during the month of May 2001.
